Janome 6500
The Janome 6500 is a fairly expensive sewing machine (going for a bit over $1,000), but it's designed from the ground up for quilting in addition to general sewing. Of course it has a quilting foot and a quilting stitch. It also comes with a table extension, as well as other conveniences such as a thread cutter, knee lifter, and an advanced feed mechanism. Perhaps most importantly, it boasts a large 9" x 5" bed. And finally it can sew at a really fast 1,000 stitches per minute. Janome is known world wide for quality, durability, and ease of use. Their 6500 is truly a great quilting machine.
